So...Its been quite awhile since I've posted publicly in this journal. But yeah...so I'm back LJ world...I am back...
Um...so quick update about my life...went to college, liked a guy for awhile, but nothing ever came out of it and i was heartbroken...Um....I didn't do anything too wild...still the regular katie...and...i found out i have hypothyroidism, so now i'm taking medication for that and i'm back to normal pretty much...and...yeah
that's pretty much it...i mean there are a lot of other details, but nothing i would publicly share on livejournal...
hmmm
I think i'm going to try to write in this more often...

Yeah..So, its been forever and a century since the last time I posted in my journal. Well, I guess publicly. I use this LJ as a private journal now instead of making it public to everyone. Anyways, here's a brief update about me...
I'm at UVA and I love it. I remember having so many qualms about this school year, mainly because despite my effort to make a name for myself at Hayfield, I have to start that cycle over again at UVA, at least in the Asian American Population, since everyone knows Doug or Pat and recognize me as "Doug Lee's/Patrick Lee's Little sister." It was annoying at first, but then I realize, I'm never going to escape this, so might as well put an effort to try to differenitiate myself from the rest of them. I love the friends I have made and am confident in almost everything I do. College is the place where I got a second chance, and i'm glad for it. I tried out the party scene, and didn't really like it, so now if I do go out and party, its because its a dance party. I don't know...I enjoy just staying in my dorm on a friday night and watching movies or playing cranium with a bunch of people more than getting drunk or something. School is going well..I should have done better this semester, a lot better, but there's always next semester, and I'm going to do everything possible to make Dean's List. But yeah...I'm generally happy with my life...College is everything that I imagined it would be, and I'm grateful for the people I have met. Furthermore, I'm glad of who I have become and how much I have grown.

Yeah....So I'm pretty much pumped about UVA next year...and can't believe how many new people I'm going to meet...especially guys hehe ;)
Orientation was sweet...college next year is going to be sweeter...just hoping that i get into the chem class that i originally wanted and get into a spanish class too... |

So, after much pain and soreness and days of looking like a chipmunk, I have healed, for the most part, from my wisdom teeth extraction. If there's anyway to put a damper on the beginning of someone's summer break, it is definitely getting their wisdom teeth removed. I still have to eat soft foods, but i can eat meat and veggies if they're cut really small.
Anyways, this summer has gone bust so far. I am so bored to the point where I actually miss high school, just because it gave me something to do. Its weird, after spending everyday going into bio each morning and seeing the same old faces over and over again, you soon realize how much of all of that was truly important post facto. I didn't take advantage of that time, and now I'm missing seeing those faces day in and day out, rushing around each morning trying to get announcements made or getting things signed or setting up the flies.
All good things come to an end though, right?
Anyways...I have to go pee...sorry that isn't much of an update, but the thing that has preoccupied my mind is bothering me too much to actually post...blehhh

So, It may sound cliche...but i think everyone starts to play/dl those sappy graduation songs and listen to them before they walk across the stage and receive their diploma.
I'm one of those people.
I remember when Vitamin C's "Graduation Song" came out, we were just ending our middle school career. It was the last song played at our 8th grade "Black and White Dance." We all gathered into one big holding hands and I remember I started to cry because it seemed like the end of being kids; the next year we would have to take on the responsibilities of being a "high schooler." I also cried because that was the last year my best friend Sarah Hughes would be attending Hayfield.
My how times has change.
Through the good and bad times, high school has truly been and adventure. We have all grown into the human beings that will change this society and matured into not just young adults, but just adults. Our lives may appear to be ending, but they are simply just beginning. We will enter the first stage of our adult lives and leave behind the drama, gossip, and immature ideals that we held in high school so to become a person that is not what we ever thought we would be.
As we look back on the past four years of our lives, remember that every single moment happened for a reason and that we all may not keep in touch. But nevertheless, remember the people that had an influence on the person you became today.
Congratulations Class of 2006...We've finally made it.
